Former Black Stars players who turned up to mourn at Christian Atsu’s funeral could not stand the sight of seeing their deceased colleague lying lifeless in the state.
The late player’s demise has been a big blow to the football fraternity and Ghanaians.
At Atsu’s funeral, former colleagues of the late Hatayspor winger could not hold back their tears as they paid their last respect to the footballer.
Ex-Black Stars legend Sammy Kuffuor and John Paintsil wept uncontrollably after filing past their former colleague’s body.
Both players who graced the occasion sat among other legends dropping their heads in their hands in tears.
Other players present included Sulley Muntari, Derrick Boateng, and John Mensah.
They could not resist the urge to shed tears at their friend’s funeral.
