Nana Akua, 38 year old mother of five girls and a baby boy has been supported in securing a place of shelter for her and children.
The mother of six who lost her husband and has been ejected from her rented house said, she is not working due to her cesarean operation and had no one to turn to for assistance. Their landlord had thrown their things outside because she is unable to renew her rent.
In an interview with crimecheckghana, Nana Akua said, “all my children have dropped out of school due to financial constraints. I cannot even afford giving them money for school talk less of buying them books and other stationery.
After Crime Check Foundation (CCF) shared Nana’s story, Madam Sarah, a woman based in the US was touched by her plight and immediately sent Three thousand Ghana cedis to be used to rent a place for her and children.
An amount of two hundred Ghana cedis, two pieces, clothing, baby bed, 5 bags of rice, oil, custard, milk, milo, milk powder, sardines and other items were also given to her to serve as upkeep for her family.
With tears of joy, Nana expressed her profound gratitude to CCF and all donors who have had pity on her and has supported her in diverse ways. “My heart is full of joy because I haven’t seen such a kind gesture before and I pray God will replenish whatever you all have lost because of me and my family. God bless you all”, she said.
