Reports reaching crimecheckghana.org’s desk indicate that the driver of a tipper truck and his mates have crushed to death.
The accident is said to have occurred at Krispo City on the Kasoa-Winneba highway on the hot afternoon of Friday 20, 2024 around 12pm.
According to reports, the truck’s dump box hit the deck of the overhead walkway at Krispo City.
The incident resulted in the disengagement of the head of the truck from its tail killing the driver and the mates instantly.
It is unclear if the truck carried sand but in an amateur video obtained, the vehicle was empty.
In the video, people could be seen rushing to the accident scene to rescue the lone driver onboard.
MTTD police officers were also seen directing traffic at the scene to prevent chaos.
The driver, the mates, and the truck’s registration number are yet to be identified.
