Three armed robbers who were jailed seventeen years each created a scene in court in an attempt to escape their incarceration if not for the timely intervention of the police and court officials.
After subjecting policemen to slaps and punches in a scuffle, the accused managed to free themselves and headed to the main gate of the court premises.
However, a warning shot by a police officer stopped the accused persons from taking further steps.
They were arrested, beaten, and sent to prisons.
The Court presided over by Mrs. Priscilla Dapaah Mireku found Nuetey and Sadiq guilty on the charges of conspiracy to commit crime and robbery.
It also found Prince Ayitey guilty of robbing one Andoh Antwi a mobile money vendor of GHS 3,500 and credit cards worth GHS 4,000.

On March 17, last year the Police received intelligence that Muntari and Waja were among those who attacked mobile money vendors during the year 2019 to March 6, 2020.

Edmund Ntiamoah, a second complainant, called the office of the Greater Accra Regional Police and identified Nuetey and Waja as those who snatched his car with registration number GC 2094-19 but changed it to GE 547- 19 and used it for their robberies.
