47-year-old widow, Alice Manu is in misery after her husband died mysteriously.
“Whiles I was waiting for him to return from work one day, he called me that he was in his hometown. We lived separately so he only visited me. He got missing in his hometown and after a vigorous search for him, we found him lifeless in a bush.” She told crimecheckghana.
Ms. Manu said taking care of her children and her mother has been difficult. She said she was ejected from her previous rented room because she couldn’t afford an extension and the caretaker of the house wanted to take advantage of that to have an amorous relationship with her but she refused.
The poor widow said because of financial difficulties, she is unable to get medical care for her ailing mother and also pay for her almost expired rent.
“One year after my husband’s demise my mother also had a stroke. Since then, life has been difficult. Though my rent was due, it further angered the caretaker after I refused his proposal to have a romantic relationship with him. My mother’s rent is almost expiring and the landlord is demanding for his money but I am struggling to pay.” She lamented.
Ms. Manu said the only business she was surviving on, also collapsed during the Covid-19 lockdown, so she cannot afford medical care, a situation that has led her health to deteriorate.
“It was my son’s friends who contributed an amount of money for me but I have been struggling to refund it. Because of the difficulties, I am unable to seek medical treatment for diabetes. I am suffering, please help me get business.” She appealed.
Crime Check Foundation, CCF through one of its Australian based Muslim family donors gave Ms. Manu One Thousand Two Hundred and Forty Ghana Cedis as business capital. The distraught widow also received food items from one of CCF’s US-based donor, Mrs. Irene Obiri Yeboah.
Madam Manu showed her gratitude for the support through prayers. “God bless you and expand your boundaries. May He cause you never to lack.” She prayed.
