Mother of Morris Manor, an eight-year-old boy who cannot walk nor talk was devastated when doctors diagnosed her son with Cerebral Palsy.
Neglected by her husband and family, a distressed mother, Madam Rebecca Agama, could not abandon her child to work and raise a huge sum of money for her child’s medication.
Having heard of Crime Check Foundation’s (CCF) Health Check Support series for the needy, Madam Rebecca decided to push her luck. She lamented her child’s condition to the executive director of CCF, Mr. Ibrahim Oppong Kwarteng. “My husband neglected us because of Morris’ condition.
He has refused to cater for our two other children. Because of my son’s condition, I’m unable to leave him alone in the house to even go out and work to raise some money to pay for his medication”, she told crimecheckghana.org amid tears.
The condition of the child moved CCF to solicit help for her from the public. Generous and kind-hearted Sandra who resides in the US was touched to support Morris by paying for his laboratory tests and other scans to enable doctors to treat the eight-year-old Morris. Thanks to Sandra, two thousand Ghana cedis was given to Rebecca for Morris’ medical expenses.
With joy, Rebecca extended her deep-seated gratitude to God, Crime Check Foundation, and her God-sent Sandra. “Sister Sandra, God bless you richly, had it not been you, I wouldn’t know what to do. May God stock up all that you have lost because of my child bountifully”, she said gratefully.
