Meena Breast Cancer Foundation (MBCF) has observed the 2024 International Day of the Girl Child with a free breast screening and education for students and teachers at Kwabenya and its environs in Accra.
Students of schools in the area, including the Kwabenya M/A β1β Basic School, Kama β1β and β2β Junior High School, Atomic Hill β2β Basic School, St. Ambrose Anglican Basic School, and the Kwabenya Atomic M/A β3β JHS.
Meena Breast Cancer Foundation was among some other organizations that offered counseling services on how to carry themselves as adolescents.
MBCF sensitized the participants on breast cancer and screened their breasts to ensure they were free of the disease. It was also to inculcate in them the need to be conscious of changes in their bodies.
Meena Breast Cancer Foundation has been fighting the disease all year round, and not only in October.
