Janet Ledi shows excitement as Crime Check Foundation, CCF supports her once again through her second term education at Nkawkaw Senior High School.
Miss Ledi in October 2019 wanted to commit suicide because she had no hope of furthering her secondary education after completing Junior High School.
According to her, both parents passed away in the Volta Region of Ghana when she was young. “My mother died when I was twelve and two years later my father also died”. She said.
The young lady said she met a good samaritan, Christiana who brought her to Accra and enrolled her in a government school till she wrote her Basic Education Certificate Examination BECE after she successfully completed primary and junior high school with good grades.
Miss Ledi said after gaining admission to Nkawkaw Senior High School, there was no one to assist her with the other school necessities “I could not bear the sight of seeing my school mates go to senior high school while I stay home so I decided to commit suicide”. She tells crimecheckghana.
To make school life easy for her in her first term, CCF through its donors supported her with her school needs such as trunk, chop box, student mattress, stationeries, toiletries, provisions and some amount of money for her upkeep.
They have again offered to take care of Miss Ledi as she goes to spend her second term in school. They have again supported her with provisions, textbooks, clothing, and money for her upkeep.
Miss Ledi showed appreciation to donors and CCF. “God bless all the donors and give them back what they have lost in many folds”.
The CCF Educational Support Fund supports brilliant but needy students who find it difficult to pay their school fees because of financial challenges.
