Crimecheckghana few weeks back reported on a 19-year-old Rosemond Opoku who has blood oozing from her mouth and ear for months.
Crimecheckghana through our Health check project visited Rosemond and her mother at the 37 military hospitals where it was established by doctors that, Rosemond’s situation is as a result of some cancerous substances in her throat, therefore has to undergo surgery to remove the substances at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
Rosemond’s condition touched the hearts of a prayer group in the United States, Conquer Prayer Ministry.
The group has taken all the expenses covering her admission fees, medication and every other penny spent during her stay at the 37 Military hospitals amounting to One thousand, eight hundred and thirty five Ghana cedis.
The prayer ministry whose sole aim is to win and rescue perishing souls for Christ has its branches all over the United States and some part of the United Kingdom.
Receiving the money, Bridget, mother of Rosemond said “ I am grateful to everyone who showed sympathy on me and my child and I plead with the general public to have mercy and compassion on my daughter as I now have to raise money for the removal of the cancerous substances, save her life please” she said amid tears.
According to her, she is a mere secondhand clothes seller and there is nowhere she will be able to raise money to foot the surgery bills.
“ I used to sell secondhand clothes, I get them on credit, sell and pay my debtors back but since my daughter took ill, I have not been able to sell anything, I have even lost my capital” she grieved
Crimecheckghana is pleading with the general public and all open-handed individuals to support Bridget and her daughter.
