Police in the Western Region has arrested ten persons following a violent clash between two illegal small-scale mining groups at Bososa near Tarkwa in the Western Region.
The clash is said to have led to the death of one person.
The suspects have already been put before court and remanded into police custody.
They have been provisionally charged with murder, causing unlawful harm, and possession of offensive weapon.
Two people have been treated at the Tarkwa hospital and have been arrested by the police, bringing the total persons in custody to twelve to assist with investigations.
