Madam Mabel Donkoh gets support from Crime Check Foundation to undergo second phase of chemotherapy. Mabel Donkoh, she was diagnosed with cancer in the womb after visiting the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
“Early this year, January 2019, I experienced excessive bleeding so I went to Amasaman Hospital. I was given a referral letter to Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital and that was where I was diagnosed with cancer of the womb”, she told crimecheckghana.
A distressed and pale looking Mabel said she was supposed to go through six phases of chemotherapy and each phase according to doctors, will cost one thousand and seventy-seven Ghana cedis but she has no one to turn to for support.
CCF through its donors supported Madam Mabel Donkoh to undergo the first phase of chemotherapy in August, 2019 with an amount of one thousand and seventy seven Ghana cedis.The foundation further supported her financially to through the second phase of the chemotherapy.
Whiles, two of the Foundation’s donors gave her with three pieces of wax print, provisions and some amount of money for her upkeep, after listening to her story on the Foundation’s Facebook and YouTube page crime check TV Ghana.
An elated Mabel could not hide her joy. “I am overwhelmed and short of words to describe how I am feeling at the moment. All I will say is I thank God and Mr. Ibrahim Oppong Kwarteng for this support given to me. To my donors, God richly bless you for the good thought and the immeasurable support you have shown to me”, she said amid tears.
CCF is entreating all and sundry to help Madam Mabel Donkoh to undergo the remaining phases of chemotherapy.
Crime Check Foundation’s Health Check Series aims at supporting individuals who need medical assistance but are financially handicapped. The project, with the support of donors has saved the lives of many poor and underprivileged Ghanaians who cannot afford the cost of medical care.
