‘Efia Odo’s’ boyfriend, Nana Kwame Boadu has finally been released from prison.
Boadu was arrested when he attacked his rival whom his lover was cheating on him with.
He was jailed for two years.
Boadu who was a conductor of a commercial vehicle, claimed her girlfriend cheated on her despite the gifts he showered on her.
“I gave her Gh 50 each day and at other times Gh 30. I never thought she would cheat on me,” he said.
According to Boadu, he broke into his rival’s room in his absence and carried his television away.
“I was going to physically attack him but he was not home. I carried his TV away with the help of some friends.
Boadu was caught and handed over to the police.
He was arraigned before court and was found guilty. The court fined him One Thousand Two Hundred Ghana cedis but he could not pay.
“I make Gh 160 in a day but I could only save Gh 700. I spent the money on Afia Odo but when I was arrested she did not visit me,” he bemoaned.
Boadu was sentenced to two years imprisonment after defaulting the fine.
Crime Check Foundation (CCF) paid his fine for his release when it visited the Awutu Camp Prison where he was serving his sentence.
This got Boadu back his freedom.
A US-based donor contributed to pay for his release.
