Six students with exceptional grades, Sam Anthony, Mavis Tetteh, Ibrahim Abdul Hamid, Aziiba Dieu-Donne Awelana, Victor Kru and Salifu Sule have benefitted from CCF’s Educational Support Fund to pursue various disciplines including Petroleum and Petrochemical Engineering, Dental Surgery, Human Settlement Planning and Physiotherapy among others in the country’s universities.
The students who are from poor backgrounds have been unable to raise money to pay their admission fees and had given up hope of entering the university till CCF decided to come to their aid.
One of them Mavis Tetteh who came to the office of CCF with a tearing mother told crimecheckghana “I don’t know what I would have done without the CCF educational scholarship. I can now say without doubt that my dream of becoming a Petrochemical engineer is alive”.
Her mother sorrowfully poured out her heart, “I earn two hundred cedis as a cleaner, so there was no way I could pay my daughters school fees” she told crimecheckghana.
The other beneficiaries, some of whose parents are dead expressed gratitude to the foundation for the support.
The CCF Educational Support Scheme is aimed at supporting brilliant but needy students who find it difficult to pay their university admission fees because of poverty.
