Talented but physically challenged widow, Rose Abena, solicits support to realize her music ambition to avoid trading in sex to feed her children. The gifted woman says with support from her late husband she has been able to record ten music tracks and requires over Ten Thousand Ghana Cedis to promote it.
Walking impaired Rose told crimecheckghana that, out of frustration she decided to give in to sexual requests from men who said until they have amorous relationship with her, they will not help her to promote her music career. “Several men wanted to sleep with me but when I thought of giving in, an angel appeared to me in a dream and told me to resist such temptations. That inspired my tenth song”. She narrated.
The distraught widow said she wish she had the strength to work as abled women do so that she does not ask people for help.
She said the demise of her husband has devastated her because of he was her only hope in life. “My husband was a taxi driver but he was very responsible and caring. Especially for the children, he prioritized their needs and never let them down. I do not think I will ever meet such a loving husband because he was there for me always and disregarded his friend’s advice to leave me for another woman”. She extolled her husband to crimecheckghana.
Rose’s 19 year old daughter said her dream of becoming a Lawyer is been thwarted due to financial constraints. “I could not continue to the University because there is no money to register for re sit exams after Senior High School”.
The distressed mother of three said she needs support to promote her music not only to enable her feed her family but also use it to encourage others who are facing similar difficulties.
Crime Check Foundation, CCF has in the meantime supported Rose with One Thousand Ghana Cedis from one of its donors Felicia in Holland for her upkeep as it awaits the compassionate support from individuals. CCF also donated some food items including bags of rice and cooking oil to her.
Dumbfounded at the donation, Rose showed her appreciation to the donors. “May God use the money you have given me as a point to bless you and your generation. May he also grant you long life and make your business flourish”. She prayed.
The Foundation is appealing to benevolent individuals and organizations to support gifted but physically challenged Rose to enable her promote her music career.
