32-year-old Abena Agyeiwaa is in shock as efforts to reach her boyfriend after she gave birth to triplets has been unsuccessful. She can’t tell whether he escaped because of the children or was really going to work to cater for them as he promised.
Agyeiwaa said two weeks after she gave birth, her boyfriend told her he was going to the city to work to cater for her and the children. She said she had to let him go because of the difficulties at home but unfortunately it seems her fiancee had a different intention for going to the city. She said since he left she has never heard from him.
“It has been 4 months now after I gave birth. At least if he has told me he did not get the job, I could ask him to come back, maybe he may get support to start a business. I used to hear from him but his phone is off anytime I call.” She told crimecheckghana.
Madam Agyeiwaa said taking care of her children would have been difficult for her if not for her mother’s support.
She said efforts to reach her boyfriend has been unsuccessful. “My mother accompanied me to find out from his mother in the village if she knows his whereabouts but her situation was even worse. We even had to give her money to buy food. She is a farmer but she is unable to work because of ill-health and cannot go to the hospital because of financial difficulties. His son used to cater for her but her condition worsened when he left and he is his only child.” She said.
Crime Check Foundation, CCF is appealing to the public to come to the aid of Agyeiwaa to enable her cater for her triplets.
