Isaac Adu Mensah, a 30-year-old man who had a lorry accident is now challenged with painful swells in the neck and armpit.
Isaac, an orphan has been living with his foster mother Aunty Stella for the past ten years.
According to the woman, Isaac started having swelling symptoms after the incident. “He had even started working but shortly after his recovery, we saw swellings shooting up around his neck.”
Doctors, she said advised that he takes infusion with a particular drug every two weeks at a cost of one thousand Ghana cedis for some period of time to heal the swellings but due to Isaac’s inability to foot the bills, his condition has sharply deteriorated.
The swellings have grown bigger and have extended to his armpit, leading to the paralysis of the young man.
Speaking to crimecheckghana.org, Isaac said after he recovered from the accident injuries, he did some menial jobs to raise money in addition to what his foster mother was giving him for his medical care. However, he is unable to neither walk nor work to earn some money to pay for his medical bills.
When the Crime Check Foundation (CCF) team visited Isaac and his foster mother in Takoradi, in the Western Region, he was bedridden and unable to sit or walk.
Isaac is therefore appealing to all to come to his aid to enable him to regain good health.
May God heal him
