Krachi East Municipal in the Oti Region has been hit with yet another sad news with the passing of the Municipal Chief Executive.
It is being reported the passing of Hon. Bernard Aborkugya Mensah who was the MCE until his reported demise.
According to sources, the late MCE collapsed while giving a speech during a matriculation ceremony at the Dambai College of Education (DACE) in the region’s capital.
“He died while he was being rushed to a health facility,” the source told crimecheckghana.org.
The municipality had been without an MCE for about eight months until Mr. Mensah took over office.
Mr. Mensah, a former Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party in the Krachi East Municipality was 62.
