The hope of Ayawli Francis Yaw of getting financial support from International Central Gospel Church, ICGC to pay his university admission fee never materialized.
The young man tells crimecheckghana that he earns a meager One hundred and fifty Ghana Cedis as a pupil teacher, and he uses the money to cater for himself and his sick mother who is down with stroke. He therefore saw his church as his only hope of keeping his educational dream alive. “I showed my results and admission letter to my pastor but he said he couldn’t help me”. He told crimecheckghana.
Mr. Ayawli says he heard of the Educational Support scheme of Crime Check Foundation and decided to try his luck after City FM had told him they had put their educational support scheme on hold.
The young man expressed gratitude to Crime Check Foundation (CCF) for promptly paying his admission fee to enable him reach a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Mathematics and Statistics.
The CCF Educational Support Scheme is aimed at supporting brilliant but needy students who find it difficult to pay their university admission fees because of poverty.
