Elizabeth Dede Korley, a 26-year-old beads maker who lived in fear has gained hope again in life as she receives GHC 13,430 through Crime Check Foundation.
Dede needed GHC 21,430.50 to foot her second pace-maker surgery as her heart cannot properly perform its functions of pumping blood into the other parts of the body.
According to Doctors report, the time booked for her surgery has elapsed which means she could lose her life any moment.
Elizabeth lived each day in fear and terror of the obvious happening; she is virtually living in her extra time on earth.
“I faint a lot these days and that makes me think most of the time of how I can sleep and ever wake up, I am afraid I could die anytime and any moment” she said while narrating her story
Crime Check Foundation shared her story which touched the hearts of many and through the benevolence of donors the GHC 21,430.50 needed for the surgery has been realized.
Receiving the money, Dede Korley expressed her gratitude and appreciation to Crime Check Foundation and all individuals who contributed in diverse ways to save her life.
“I am most grateful to all the people who contributed to my surgery cost, may the good Lord replenish anywhere those monies came from, I appreciate you all” she said.
Elizabeth Dede Korley’s bill for the pace-maker surgery has been paid to the National Cardiothoracic Center at the Korle Teaching Hospital and an additional GHC 1,200 set aside to take care of her post surgery expenses.
