An 11-year-old, Comfort Tetteh who was captured under Crime Check Foundation’s Health Check is set to finally return to school.
The young lady who underwent surgery for Typhoid Fever was left by her family because they could not raise GHC1, 300.00. CCF through the benevolence of individuals and well-wishers released her after she was detained at the hospital for a month.
After her discharge, the young girl whose dream in life is to become a military officer has not returned to school.
“I like the way military officers are disciplined, determined and focused in their training and that draws me to them” she said
According to her, she has had to stay home because her mother, a sachet water vendor has not been able to raise money for her school uniform, footwear and other stationery.
She said “my mother sells pure water at the Kaneshie-Takoradi station and my father is a shop attendant in a soft drink depot in Accra central but they have both not been able to raise money for my up-keep”
Little Comfort has been absent from school for the last three months but through the benevolence of one Madam Abena Adwubi Quainoo who resides in Japan, in collaboration with CCF, the class four pupil of Rev. Thomas Clerk Methodist School will resume school on Monday, June 3rd, 2019.
