‘Tell It Moms’, an empowerment group of mothers based in the United Kingdom has come to the aid of a widow and her five children who lived under market stalls in Kasoa in the Central Region.
Christy, a woman believed to be in her mid-30’s slept in the open spaces of Kasoa market with her five children exposing them to various health hazards.
The widow, who resorted to the sale of oranges to fend for her family struggled to provide security for herself and her children
‘Tell It Moms’ after hearing the plight of the widow donated GHC10, 000 to support her and her children
The group set her up with a business center (container) to sell, plastic bowls, cups, buckets, laundry baskets, mop bucket ,dust bins and a fridge stocked with frozen foods like chicken, sausage, fish, gizzard etc.
Madam Christy also got her single bedroom renovated
