rime Check Foundation (CCF), a crime prevention advocacy organization has donated some assorted items to Muslim inmates at James Camp prison in Accra. They include a box of milo, bags of rice, oil, boxes of biscuit, jalabia (Muslims costume), packs of soft drinks, a bag of rice, cartons of milk and many more to support them throughout the Ramadan period.
Ramadan is considered a holy period for Muslims who believe Allah sends his blessings upon them and answers their prayers during the period. The donation was made by the Executive Director of CCF, Mr. Ibrahim Oppong Kwarteng on behalf of one Hajia, a philanthropist in Germany. The owner of Allahu Waahid shop also donated some Muslim clothing, a carton of milk, sugar and tea bags.
The Officer in Charge of the prison, ADP Patience Barfo Bonney, received the items on behalf of the prisoners, expressing her appreciation to Crime Check Foundation for their consistent support to the prisoners and donors.
She appealed to the public to provide skill training in shoe making, carpentry, painting, masonry and barbering, to help in the proper reintegration of inmates when they are released.
One of the Muslim inmates also expressed their sincerest gratitude to CCF, the donors and the prison service.
