Executive Director of Crime Check Foundation, CCF, Ibrahim Oppong Kwarteng, has been honored at a glamorous event held in Accra by the Humanitarian Awards Ghana, HAG. The award recognizes extraordinary individuals and groups who are positively impacting lives and society in Ghana.
Hence it is in recognition of Mr. Kwarteng’s philanthropic work as a developmental journalist.
The event which was on the theme “Celebrating Change Makers” was also to recognize volunteer leaders, donors, organizations, philanthropists, corporations and professionals in advancing the important work of charity. It is to honor and celebrate the incredible contributions of time, resources, leadership and financial support made by organizations and individuals who inspire generosity and giving.
It is also aimed at putting the spotlight on personalities and organizations not only to celebrate them but also build a strong platform to give them a voice and opportunities whiles building a positive attitude in the world.
Mr. Kwarteng, who doubles as the Ambassador Extraordinaire of Ghana Prisons, received the award along with other awardees including CEO of GDA Media, Oheneyere Gifty Anti, CEO of Restoration with Stacy, Stacy Amoateng, Humanitarian Journalist and Founder of ‘On the Road Social Development’, Kofi Amoah and Principal Consultant of IPR Communications, Dr. Ike Tandoh.
Mr. Kwarteng’s humanitarian work has earned him other prestigious awards from notable institutions including, the Ghana Journalists Association and many other institutions. He has also received a citation presented to him by the former President of the Republic, John Dramani Mahama.
He has also saved many lives through his TV programs including the Health Check, General Charity and Street Charity Series.
Through the Ex-convicts Re-integration Project, Mr. Kwarteng has facilitated the re-integration of many ex-convicts into society. His One on One interviews with inmates have facilitated the release of many inmates through court Appeals.
The Ambassador Extraordinaire through his Crime Check Foundation has also paid the fines and released over six hundred petty offenders in Ghana’s prisons
The honor will not be the last of its kind as other awarding institutions have shortlisted him for awards.
