18 – year-old Analyn Kani was nearly killed by her ex-boyfriend who allegedly inflicted deep wounds on her using a knife and hammer.
According to a source who told CCF on anonymity, Kani’s ex-boyfriend, 48 year old Ekow Mensah visited her to watch TV. Her former lover came along with a drink which he shared with her. In the course of taking the drink she left the room to receive cooked noodles (indomie) she had earlier ordered.
The lady who seemed to have moved on after their break up said she fell unconscious when she came back to continue the drink she had left. She said when she regained consciousness she saw herself in a pool of blood.
“She lived with her grandmother but she left to rent a room at Adenta new site where the man visited her. According to her, she did not have any problem with her ex-boyfriend so when he visited her she accepted him and they had a normal conversation together.” The source told crimecheckghana.
Information gathered indicates that Mr. Mensah who thought he succeeded in killing his ex-girlfriend is currently on the run. Kani was also rushed to the 37 Military Hospital by a neighbor and is currently undergoing treatment.
In a video crimecheckghana received, Kani was appealing for support to undergo medical treatment. “Please help me because I am suffering”. She appealed.
The voice of the person who recorded her, described the level of injury she has sustained. “This is Analyn and she has been assaulted by her ex-boyfriend. The guy used knife and hammer to destroy her face and as you can see her face has been stitched. Her jaw has been shifted and her teeth have been removed. She bleeds internally in her head and requires Fifteen Thousand Ghana Cedis to undergo surgery.” The voice said.
