42 year old Abena Panin nearly committed suicide because she struggles to cater for her twelve children after her two spouses left her. She said due to financial difficulties, her male children have not undergone circumcision.
“I am a good trader, but I don’t get loans from government because of the many children I have. I sometimes think of committing suicide when it occurs to me that I don’t have support. When I even get free education for them, I won’t be able to provide for their other needs. Even last evening, our meal was a One Ghana Cedis loaf of bread. I am struggling. ” She told crimecheckghana.
Panin said she and her husband separated after having four children and when she moved on she met another man with whom she had four set of twins. The heartbroken woman said because of hardships her lover also fled her leaving her to face the burden of responsibilities of the children alone.
“I continued to give birth because I wanted to have a daughter. When I came back from the hospital after delivery, he had fled so his father catered for me and the children. Life became a struggle so we depended on alms.” She said.
The mother of twelve said because of her numerous children, her business has collapsed making it difficult for her to make a living. The dejected woman said because of financial difficulties she has been unable to take her children to school.
Crime Check Foundation, CFF through one of its US based donors, Fredrick Asamoah and his family, gave poor Panin One Thousand Ghana Cedis as business capital.
Maame Panin blessed CCF and the donor for the support. “God bless you and grant your heart desires. May he restore in multiple folds whatever you have lost for making this contribution. Thank you.” She said.
CCF is appealing to the public to support Abena Panin to enable her cater for her dozen children.
The Foundation’s Charity Series is used to seek help for struggling individuals and families.
