Meena Breast Cancer Foundation (MBCF) will hold a press conference on its findings about breast cancer in the country.
The findings were revealed during its sensitization and breast screening programmes for schools, corporate institutions, and communities.
The Foundation through the press conference on Wednesday 23, 2024, will draw government’s attention to the need for urgent action to be taken to win the fight against the disease.
MBCF has visited almost fifty schools and twenty communities across the country.
The Foundation carried out its programmes through its everyday fight against the disease as opposed to the yearly known awareness creation.
Aside from its sensitization and screening programmes, it also assists patients in paying their hospital bills.
The findings therefore reflect what is on the ground.
The press conference will seek to make known some challenges that frustrate the successful fight against the disease and what could be done to win the fight.
In attendance will be the media, some survivors, and a beneficiary school.
