Further details have emerged on the death of Alberta Armah Hagan and her three children who were killed by her alleged boyfriend at Tuba near Kasoa Tollbooth.
In some new information that crimecheckghana.org has gathered, according to some residents living close to Net Link Estates where Alberta lived, the deceased’s alleged boyfriend popularly known as Uncle Biggy usually carries the late woman’s children to school.
“He was always with the woman and will buy from me whenever he passes. He was a regular customer and did not look like someone who would commit such an atrocity,” a fruit seller said.
The residents now say they live in fear though the community was peaceful until the recent incident.
“This place is very calm and we have never heard of any crime here. But the killing of this woman has brought fear into us,” a shopkeeper cried.
Giving his account of the incident, Nana Akwa, the security personnel at the Estate said that when the incident happened, Biggy hired a taxi to bolt after the act. This Mr. Akwa said was after his employer had called to inform him about what happened.
“I did not know about it until my boss called to tell me. Before that, Biggy traversed the place going and coming out of the Estate like he was getting insane. Then finally he came to pass with a taxi. I only heard on radio that he had been arrested,” he recounted.
According to Nana Akwa, when the police arrived at the crime scene, they called the suspect on phone but he refused to answer.
The security man said Alberta’s husband visited her in December 2023 so he thought Biggy was either the deceased lady’s brother or brother-in-law.
For now, the residents live in fear and pray that Biggy is not left off the hook to serve as a deterrent to others.
