47-year-old Charity Kusi struggles to cater for her ten children because of financial difficulties.
Madam Kusi said her unfaithful husband left her for another woman with support from her in-law. She said her husband did not care about the well-being of the children, making life difficult for her to take care of them because she was jobless.
“My husband left me to follow another woman and did not care about the children. When I complained to my sister in-law she did not show concern. For four years I did not see him until I heard he had been hospitalized. When I followed up to see him, I was told he had been discharged.” She narrated.
The widow said after her husband’s demise, the Assemblywoman of her area started a water business which she was made to be an attendant taking care of the water. Unfortunately, she said the water business collapsed making life hitting her harder. She said the difficulties led her teenage daughters to engage in amorous relationships through which they got pregnant.
“I was waiting for him to him to repent but unfortunately he died. When I went to take care of him, he asked for forgiveness from me but for the sake of the children I rather encouraged him to recover speedily.” She said.
Crime Check Foundation, CCF gave the poor widow an amount of Five Hundred and Eighty Ghana Cedis as business capital through one of its US based donors, Priscilla Owusu.
CCF continues to appeal to the public to come to the aid of Charity Kusi to enable her cater for her children.
The Foundation’s Charity Series is used to seek support for struggling individuals.
