A 37-year-old man has been butchered to death by unknown assailants at Iron City, near Kasoa.
The deceased, Peter Joseph Asiamah was attacked in his room and left to die, according to the widow, Gloria Agyemang.
Pictures we possess show that Peter suffered machete injuries to his head and on his arm.
Speaking to crimecheckghana.org, Gloria who had moved out of her matrimonial home over marital issues, indicated that on December 28, 2024, she received a call from her deceased husband’s neighbors asking her to come to the house for an emergency issue.
Upon her arrival at the house, and entering the room, she met blood dripping from the hall to the porch of her husband’s room.
“I couldn’t withstand it so my brother sent me to a neighbouring house,” she recounted.
The 32-year-old widow said some residents in the area revealed to her that her husband, prior to his killing was threatened with death.
According to Gloria, she was told Peter engaged in a fisticuff with some three persons at a pub known as ‘Coded’ and was able to overpower them.
The individuals then threatened Peter after the fight before his murder to avenge their defeat.
“That night after the fight, I was told he confided in an Uncle that he had been threatened by the people who engaged him in the fight. Unfortunately, he was attacked in the night,” she said.
The mother of three lodged a complaint at the Amanfrom Police who deployed the CID and the crime officer to the scene but unfortunately, after making preliminary investigations, further efforts have not been made to bring the assailants to book.
“There were some witnesses who were at the pub when the fight erupted but surprisingly, they have all denied knowledge of the incident. The police have become reluctant though a CCTV of a pastor near the deceased’s house captured the assailants who murdered my husband,” she cried.
Gloria seeks justice for her cold murdered husband.
