GRANDMA WHO PRAYS OVER WATER FOR GRANDCHILDREN TO DRINK TO BED RECEIVES CCF SUPPORT.

Madam Mary Maku will no longer have to pray over water for her three grandchildren to drink as their lunch because of the timely intervention of an NGO, Crime Check Foundation CCF.
The 70 year old grandma had earlier disclosed to crimecheckghana in tears that she was finding it extremely difficult to take care of her three grandchildren after the death of their parents in a tragic motor accident. “Their father and mother were returning from Nkawkaw, but died at Suhum in a motor accident six years ago. Since then I have borrowed so much food to such an extent that my creditors have declined giving me more”.
With hunger bashing her handsome grandchildren, Kelvin, 13, Henry, 11 and Michael, 9, madam Maku devised a plan of faith. “I pray over water with them when there is no food, and convince them to drink to cure their hunger”. She told crimecheckghana. A visit to their school by CCF revealed the three boys had no desks. Their school uniforms had gaping holes despite being stitched several times. Through the intervention of CCF, the famished family has a different story to tell;
“We are extremely grateful to CCF for providing my grandchildren with desks, books, shoes and all that the boys need in school”, a tearing Madam Maku told crimecheckghana.

To ensure the family of four does not drink water to sleep anymore, the Foundation sought the assistance of donors to come to their aid. Madam Maku is now the owner of a shop stocked with assorted foodstuff. CCF also donated used clothing and other items donated by its sponsors. Friends of Kennedy Agyapong, a philanthropist group also donated an amount of one thousand Ghana cedis and five pieces of wax prints to Madam Maku.
