Crime Check Foundation (CCF) has paid GHC 2400 as full cost of a 57-year-old man who needs an urgent implant removal.
The man, Amos Ankomah -Koranteng says, he was knocked down by a motorbike 6years ago at Lapaz, a suburb of Accra, when he was on his way to work.
“I was on my way to work one morning when the motorbike knocked me down. I could have died but there were people around so I was quickly rushed to Achimota hospital” he narrated.
According to him, his left knee got broken and so he had to undergo an external fixator also called Tibia.
The former senior site facility officer at Phyto-Riker pharmaceuticals said, the company took charge of his hospital bill for the first time but left him to his fate afterwards.
“The company gave me half-salary for 9-months and later terminated my appointment “he said.
The father of three says, he and his children have been living on his wife’s salary since then and life hasn’t been easy.
“All my children are in school, some are in medical school and taking care of them is no joke “he said.
Mr. Koranteng expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the foundation for paying GHC2400 for his implant removal.
